Uyghur and Tibetan Voices Project
We Believe In The Power Of Stories.

These are the stories from courageous Uyghur and Tibetan refugees.
These stories provide powerful, first-hand accounts of the oppression facing Chinese ethnic minority groups. The refugees recount in vivid detail the sobering impacts on their families and communities. Their stories serve to help us better understand several important themes:

-
Being forced to live in constant fear, with loss of many basic human rights and subject to brutal violence
-
The systemic challenge to preserving their identity with the forces of cultural genocide threating their language, culture, religion, and general way of life
-
Families disrupted via internments, persistent surveillance, and inability to freely communicate with one another
-
The opportunity for us to help act in support of these communities and humanity as a whole
We invite you to listen and let their voices inform and inspire you to take action...
